Emma Hardwidge

Head of Probate

I am the Managing Director and founder of RLE Law.

I completed my law degree at Swansea University before completing the Bar Vocational Course in Cardiff, and transferring to a Solicitor in 2004.  I began my career dealing with criminal and family matters and eventually picked up a private client caseload and never looked back. I am the head of the Private Client Department and the Property Department and  Lifetime Lawyer and member of the Association Contentious Trust and Probate Practitioners (ACTAPS).

In additional to managing the departments , I have a caseload which specialises in complex estates, probate disputes and complex court of protection matters including applications for statutory wills.  I also advise on estate planning in high net worth cases.

I particularly enjoy engaging with clients and have a pragmatic approach.  My motivation when dealing with clients is to establish their goals and provide practical solutions.  As the managing director I strive to find new and innovative ways of delivering our service.  Our employees are also at the heart of everything we do and ensuring their wellbeing is key to a successful team.

I enjoy spending my free time with friends and family, particularly my husband, two young daughters and adorable cockapoo Bailey.  I also enjoy going for long walks, travelling as much as possible and reading!

You would be surprised to know that I once fell into Lake Bled in Slovenia fully clothed and sober!
