Location: RLE Law has offices in Bridgend, Treorchy and Talbot Green. The successful candidate may be based primarily at Bridgend or Talbot Green, with regular attendance at Treorchy. The precise working pattern can be discussed.
Hours: Full-time preferred; part-time considered

The Opportunity
RLE Law is looking to recruit a Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its busy and well-established Private Client Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop a broad and rewarding private client practice, with exposure to quality wills, lasting powers of attorney, probate and estate administration work, as well as the opportunity to gain experience in trusts, Court of Protection matters and contentious probate.
The successful candidate will work as part of a supportive team led by the firm’s Head of Department, who is a full TEP member of STEP, and will have the opportunity to develop their technical expertise, client relationships and professional profile.
The Role
The role will include a varied private client caseload, including:
- wills;
- lasting powers of attorney;
- probate and estate administration;
- professional executor and full estate administration work;
- trusts, where appropriate;
- Court of Protection work, where appropriate;
- exposure to estate disputes and contentious probate, depending on experience and interest.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on both straightforward and more involved matters, with appropriate supervision and support.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- experience in wills, lasting powers of attorney and probate;
- strong client care skills and a sensitive, professional approach;
- good drafting and organisational skills;
- confidence managing files with appropriate supervision;
- the ability to work collaboratively with solicitors, trainees and support staff;
- sound judgment in knowing when to escalate technical or sensitive issues;
- an interest in developing a broader private client practice.
