Legal Cashier

RLE Law has an excellent opportunity for a Legal Cashier to join the accounts team.  This role would be suitable for candidates with previous experience working within law firms.

Job Description

  • Processing and assisting with Conveyancing completions;
  • Maintaining the company purchase ledger;
  • Raising sales invoices;
  • Credit Control;
  • Liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers;
  • Posting of disbursements, including counsel and expert fees;
  • Processing expense requests;
  • Processing and posting for all client and office account payments and ensuring CHAPS, BACS and cheque requests are administered;
  • Cashiering, banking, and raising ad hoc cheques;
  • Processing all client account receipts;
  • Banks reconciliation;
  • Cash book maintenance;
  • Maintenance of the Key Dates Diary;
  • Assisting with SRA Accounts Rules audit;
  • Assisting with Legal Aid Billing;
  • Provision of general administration assistance to the firm.

Applicant Criteria

  • The ability to organise and prioritise your own workload;
  • Have excellent analytical and communication skills;
  • Expertise of the Solicitors Accounts Rules;
  • Be able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy.
