Victoria Jones

Head of Family

I am the Head of the Family Department, having worked for many years at a senior level in local firms in South Wales.

I have a wealth of experience within all areas of Family Law. I am an accredited member of the Law Society's Children Law Panel. I carry out complex Children Law cases with experience of representing both parents and children via their Guardians. I carry out my own advocacy at all stages of proceedings. I pride myself on offering a firm, dynamic, yet friendly approach to my cases. Doing the very best for my clients is always paramount to me.

I am a seasoned practitioner in both disputes in relation to private child arrangements but also cases where social services are involved with the family giving rise to Care Proceedings. I also regularly represent clients at pre-proceedings meetings with social services, known as PLOs.

Additionally, I hold many years' experience of working with cases involving Domestic Abuse and have worked in partnership with various Domestic Abuse support organisations throughout South Wales. This has included me acting in handling a large number of application for Non-Molestation Orders and Occupations Orders, both for and against the orders.

As a department we have a Legal Aid Franchise and act for both legally aided and private paying clients.

Outside of work I enjoy downtime with my husband, little boy and tuxedo cat Molly, theatre (with a particular emphasis on dance) and spending time with friends and my wider family.

You may be surprised to know that I am a terrible loser at most things - so much so that none of my friends or family will play any board games with me anymore! In particular, there was an infamous "Game of Thrones" Monopoly night that I will never live down.
